Music & Fine Arts

At Douglasville First United Methodist we offer music experiences and opportunities that reflect values of excellence and enthusiasm. Our ministry provides a way to engage all age groups and musical styles.

We invite you to be our guest in any of our worship services, programs or ministry activities, or to discuss how you can plug in and use your talent in service to others. We would love the opportunity to meet you.

Chancel Choir

They present combined choral/instrumental works during the seasons of Advent,Christmas, Lent and Easter. We also present special music annually on Good Friday. The choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00pm.

Ladies and Men’s Ensembles

These groups are both on call when needed to sing for worship services and other special services throughout the year.

Instrumental Opportunities

We are always looking for instrumentalists who would like to share their talent in worship.

Contemporary Worship Team

The worship band leads The Journey worship service at 11:00am in the Family Life Center. They rehearse weekly and include vocals, bass, rhythm and lead guitars, keys and drums.

Fine Arts Academy

Our Fine Arts Academy ministry has a vision that includes private and group instruction in music and other worship arts throughout the school year. The Academy offers a summer music camp for children who have completed Kindergarten through 6th grade.
